Salary: 21.55/Hr

After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Shift Differential: 

Monday-Thursday (6pm to 6am) + $1.00 per hour worked 
Friday 4pm to Saturday 4am + $3.00 per hour worked 
Saturday (4am to 4pm) + $2.00 per hour worked 
Saturday (4pm to 4am) + $3.00 per hour worked 
Sunday 4am to Monday 6am + $2.00 per hour worked

Part-Time and Half-Time Employees: 

Eligible for an additional $2.00 per hour worked

Summary:

Accomplish the Slot Department objectives by assisting senior management in the daily supervision of the Slot Department. Ensure department services meet and exceed customer expectations and are delivered according to established policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with established laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to include the Tribal State Compact, Gaming Ordinance, and IGRA for Slot operations. 

Detailed responsibilities:
* Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times and in all activities. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers of Oneida Casino. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority
* Provide leadership to supervised staff and assigned areas of the Slot Department. Participate and provide input in Slot management activities as required. Ensure department personnel policies and procedures are developed, implemented, and are effective.
* Work with the Slot Department personnel to ensure resources are available to carry out responsibilities.
* Develop, maintain, and facilitate an effective communication process with all Gaming personnel and all other internal and external customers. Ensure established procedures, and processes are utilized at all times, to ensure maximum understanding and coordination are in place. Attend department meetings to ensure effective communications take place.
* Develop and maintain Department Standard Operating Procedures.
* Ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements in all times. Adhere to established quality, service delivery, customer service, and customer demand expectations. Adhere to all audit, and legal regulations/laws and practices.
* Ensure guests of Oneida Casino receive a pleasant experience by: practicing positive guest services to include, but not limited to, answering customer questions, resolving immediate concerns, demonstrating how the games are played, and retrieving change for the guests.
* Assist in establishing, implementing, and communicating goals, objectives, policies, and procedures in accordance with applicable tribal, federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and goals of Oneida Casino.
* Supervise, assign duties to, and coordinate the activities of staff to include evaluations, scheduling, disciplinary actions, hiring, training, orientation, approving payroll, and employee motivation
* Improve staff effectiveness by counseling, training employees; planning, delegating, monitoring, and appraising job tasks and results in a timely manner.
* Host regular staff meetings to ensure timely and effective communication between personnel and departmental related activities.
* Maintain and secure necessary controls for the Slot operations, including the outlets.
* Protects the casino's assets by safeguard all assigned department equipment, radios, money bags, keys, and other related assets.
* Ensure department procedures are reinforced and performance is monitored and evaluated to implement employee training needs when necessary.
* Receive and document customer inquiries and concerns on designated shifts as needed/required.
* Provide accurate and detailed daily shift reports to the Slots Manager, to include but not limited to, schedule changes, employee changes, and disciplinary actions.
* Monitor, evaluate, and present solutions to potential problem areas, i.e. security, safety issues.
* Monitor, edit, and complete daily payroll reports for designated shift as required.
* Submit daily documentation regarding: leave of absences, medical, worker's compensation and injury reports to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
* Maintain department inventory supply forms, such as W2G, cancel credits, jackpots, and other related documentation.
* Complete fact-based investigation of alleged infractions of department work rules, Tribal policies and procedures, Title 31, W2G. Follow up with training or progressive discipline when required.
* Organize and implement a team of employees to perform monthly meter reads with the Accounting Department.
* Work cooperatively with Marketing in the promotion and publicity of slot winners.
* Participate in continuous improvement teams as assigned and use tools for effective planning and improvement of customer service and production processes.
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes, and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
