After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Summary:

Responsible for planning, scheduling, inspecting and evaluating various operational activities of the Division of Public Works. 


Responsibilities:

* Act as Project Manager in the areas of Pavement Reconstruction, Facility Renovation, Facility/Residential Demolition, and Furniture Relocation projects
* Develop a long-term preventative maintenance plan for facility parking areas, projecting annual operating and capital budgets needed to restore, renovate, and maintain paved surfaces
* Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures that meet the on-going needs of the facilities parking and driveway areas
* Develop requests for proposals and scope documents for bidding of work to external contractors and supervise contractors on job sites.
* Manage office furniture moves by, coordinating work between departments, DTS, and movers. Maintain all relevant records pertaining to asset relocations
* Ensure all project documentation is properly filed for future reference
* Respond to emergency calls after normal business hours, completing tasks in a timely manner
* Practice excellent customer service skills at all times to include, but not limited to, addressing customer and employee needs courteously and promptly.

* Must present a professional appearance and demeanor as a representative of the Oneida Nation in dealing with the general public
* Skill in preparing cost/budget estimates and project schedules
* Skill in setting goals, developing strategies and schedules for meeting goals and anticipating obstacles and alternative strategies
* Preparing project scope documents
* Ability to work as a team member and foster a positive working environment
* Organizational, planning, time management and project management skills
* Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a variety of individuals and groups in a complex, multi-cultural environment.
* Ability to be dependable and conscientious; possess initiative, self-motivated and capable of working independently
* Skill in operating computers and various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment.
* Knowledge and experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring operational and capital budgets.
* Skill in proper filing of project documents.
* Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and specifications.
* Ability to articulate project status reports.

Education Requirement - Or A Closely Related Field:

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

* Driver's License Personal & Tribal Vehicle
* Insurance Required

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
