SALARY: Grade 14 $23.30/Hr (NEGOTIABLE)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Supervise Table Games and Poker Dealers and Floor Persons. Oversee the gaming tables and run the day-to-day operations of the Poker Room, to include, order fill and credits, correct errors made by dealers and players, watch for any discrepancies, maintain accurate player tracking, addressing/correcting employee behavior. Serve as guest service/employee relation person.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers.
- Provide leadership direction for Table Games and Poker personnel.
- Ensure personnel procedures are understood, implemented, utilized and effective. Focus on improvement in all Human Resource activities to ensure personnel growth and organizational effectiveness.
- Develop, maintain, and facilitate an effective communication process for Table Games and Poker personnel. Ensure Table Games and Poker operations generate reports for appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Assist with regular department meetings to ensure effective communication takes place.
- Understands and adheres to all Personnel Policies and Procedures, department Standard Operating Procedures, Tribal, State, and Federal regulations as they relate to Class II and Class III Gaming, and Title 31.
- Assess and analyze all work performance activities for the purpose of improving the Table Games areas.
- Assist Table Games Shift Manager with developing measurable performance expectations.
- Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, KRONOS approval, hiring, day-to-day training, orientation, and problem resolution.
- Work with Surveillance in detecting and taking action against cheating, fraud and other disruptions.
- Coordinate all working functions relative to the efficient operation of the assigned games, ensuring all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures are adhered to in the Table Games and Poker area.
- Review and settle customer and dealer complaints/disputes which may occur in the assigned Pit and Poker Room. Watch continually for any discrepancies made by dealer or guests.
- Assist the Table Games Shift Manager in all duties and functions of the Pit and Poker operations including decisions on Department Standard Operating Procedures, guest services, and employee relations.
- Utilize the player tracking system to promote increased participation in the players club and sign up new members to the Players club and print Player Club cards as needed for guests.
- Ensure accurate player tracking of all Title 31 transactions as they may occur in the pit with Table Game players.
- Access pit keys daily to complete count and open/close table games.
- Complete the daily inventory of retrieving the correct number of cards and dice from the card room to the pit area for the start of the table game operations; and to also return the remaining inventory of cards and dice to card room at end of shift.
- Maintain accurate card and dice inventory and report inventory records on a monthly basis.
- Open gaming tables required to maintain customer demand.
- Ensure Table Game Dealers, Poker Dealers and Floor personnel are followed up with timely to ensure corrective action is addressed.
- Maintain effective communication verbally and in writing with staff and supervisory personnel.

- Must pass a background security check with the Oneida Nation in order to meet the Employment Eligibility Requirements, Tribal/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance as they pertain to the position. A temporary license or Gaming License issued by the Oneida Gaming Commission is required as a condition of employment and continuing employment within the Oneida Nation's Gaming Division
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or closely related field.
- Two (2) years of experience dealing Craps, Roulette, Blackjack, Texas Hold'em, and various carnival games.
- One (1) year of experience as a Pit Manager or above within a Table Games Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation.
- High School Diploma, HSED Diploma or GED Certification; applicants age 50 and older are exempt from this requirement.
- Five (5) years of experience in table games operations.
- Must complete training on all table games offered at Oneida Casino within 180 days of employment.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently sit for extended periods, use hands to finger, handle, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
- Occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Work environment may NOT be smoke, noise, or dust-free.
- Evening, graveyard, holiday and/or weekend work or extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
- Must provide a copy of Diploma, License, Degree or Certification upon employment.
