Summary: Responsible for directing and coordinating ancillary functions in the following departments:  Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy, Pharmacy, Imaging, Cardiac Cath Lab, Sports Medicine, Laboratory, Plant Operations, Environmental Services, and Nutrition Services.    The VP of Ancillary Services is responsible for meeting regulatory and compliance requirements within specified departments, ensuring that patient care is delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the COO/CFO, the Vice President (VP) of Ancillary Services serves on the Executive Leadership Team for the organization.    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assures standardization of operations within defined areas, aligned with system wide strategic priorities.
  • Oversees the development, implementation, and management of policies, procedures, and protocols for ancillary services.
  • Lead and mentor employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Develops and implements strategies to improve the efficiency, quality, and financial performance of ancillary services. Monitor and analyze performance, using data to drive operational improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards. Ensure that all departments are always survey ready.
  • Oversee budget management, financial forecasting, and cost control measures for ancillary services.
  • Ensure all services meet or exceed quality standards and deliver exceptional patient care.  Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of patient experience and quality of care in collaboration with staff.
Qualifications: Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field is required, master's degree preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of job-related healthcare experience at a Senior Level.
  • Preferred experience: 7-10 years of healthcare experience at a Senior Level.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams and driving operational excellence.
Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong strategic planning and financial management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements.
