Wilson Health is looking for a direct hire PRN(Per as needed) Nutrition Hostess for our location in Sidney, Ohio (North Dayton, Ohio) area.   Key Perks and Benefits:

Employment Status: PRN (Per as needed. Working Hours:  Monday- Friday- 6:00am- 2:30pm or 10:00am- 5:30pm depending on the need (some weekends hours varies)

Position Reports to: Nutrition Services Manager                           

Department Description: Wilson Health's Dietary Food & Nutritional Services Department is responsible for providing excellent (patient, staff, and guest) focused nutritional care. Staff is dedicated to providing nutritious and delicious meals along with excellent customer service through efficient meal delivery.  

Job Summary:  Performs a variety of patient food service duties under the direction of Operations Manager.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Apportions and places food servings on plates and trays according to diet list on menu card.
• Assists customers with opening containers and cutting food when requested.
• May interact with patients regarding food orders, menu selection and diet needs.
• Brews coffee and tea.
• Sets up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils.
• May be responsible for loading and unloading dish machine and the cleanliness of dishware.
• Keeps the dish machine clean and reports any functional or mechanical problems to the manager immediately regarding any kitchen equipment including dish machine.
• Monitors dish machine water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Assist with and storing all tableware and kitchenware.
• Maintains adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
• Bags and hauls trash to dish area or dumpster

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
