Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of information technology projects. The incumbent will work closely with clients and stakeholders to identify project requirements and develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans. They are responsible for managing project teams and ensuring that project goals are achieved on time and within budget. IT Project Managers must have a strong understanding of technical concepts, as well as excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. They must also be able to adapt to changing project requirements and technologies, and have experience managing risks and implementing quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities:
* Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
* Prepare project management services to develop, review, coordinate, and monitor project description, contracts and budgets, and request funding to pursue the project and lead project to completion.
* Assist in preparing feasible business plans for growth and development.
* Assist in the development of the project management process, project artifacts and standard operating procedures
* Follow the Oneida Nation's contract process in its entirety to include the bid process, selection, contract development and execution.
* Develop resources, organize, facilitate, prepare, and conduct presentations on projects to stakeholders.
* Organize and lead project teams, delegate assignments to ensure the projects are complete.
* Establish and cultivate productive working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and external funding sources
* Develop and write standard operating procedures related to project activities with the intent of improving operating efficiencies and maintaining internal control procedures.
* Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
* Close the project with client acceptance, documentation of completed deliverables, and issuances of final report.
* Keep leadership and other departments informed of activities by attending meetings and submitting reports.
* Contribute to the CIO's (Chief Information Officer) tactical and strategic planning.
* Keep abreast of modern technologies and maintain professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes, and conferences; reviewing professional publications and establishing/maintaining professional networks.
* Control costs of projects and maintain change order requests.
* Contribute to a team effort and accomplish related results as required
* Practice excellent customer service skills at all times to include, but not limited to, addressing customer and employee needs courteously and promptly.
