Responsibilities:
The Science Intern will support the Project Managers with planning and project execution for a variety of commercial and federal clients throughout Northern California. The individual will assist in various aspects of planning environmental remediation projects. Major duties/responsibilities of the position include:

•    Working with a project team to support a variety of projects
•    Participating in report writing and presentations
•    Effectively communicate and coordinate with project managers, subconsultants and other project team members and disciplines
•    Other duties, as assigned

Education & Experience:

•    Enrolled in a 4-year bachelor's degree program in the sciences
•    Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
•    Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
•    A valid driver's license in good standing
•    Must be a US Citizen

Physical Demands: 
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Physical demands of this position are limited to office work and some field work.  Field work may include walking over uneven or rough terrain and safely managing exposure to a range of temperatures.  Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided to safely work in the field.

Language & Communication Skills: 
Effective oral and written communication essential to this position.  Must be fluent in the English language; both in speaking and writing.  Report and proposal writing for a range of projects is required. 
Public speaking is encouraged, and facilitation skills are a plus.

Other Skills:  
Candidate must have the ability to work well in a professional and team-oriented environment, as well as independently. Candidate should possess strong organizational skills, excellent leadership skills, and be client focused. Must possess basic computer skills; the computer skills must include proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
