
Description
Under general supervision by the Branch Manager, the Venture Services Associate is responsible for performing a wide range of assignments related to the stock distribution and trading for the venture capital community including managing stock distributions for General and Limited Partners. As a member of the Venture Services Team, the Venture Services Operations Associate performs all trade and operational functions related to venture distributions and transactions, as well as supporting general operational responsibilities for the branch office complex.
What We're Looking For
- Work closely with the Venture Services Manager to facilitate all aspects of venture fund stock distribution
- Assist in all aspects of restricted stock settlement from the initial venture distribution through the final distribution of proceeds
- Complete notification of venture distribution to participants with distribution information
- Manage Venture Services Database
- Produce venture distribution results reports for distributing venture fund companies
- Accept stock sale orders from venture limited partners
- Coordinate legal opinions with company counsels developing strong relationships
- Demonstrate expertise with restricted stock regulations and procedures including SEC Rule 144
- Provide reports and other information to Venture Services Manager as needed
- Identify situations that need to be brought to the attention of the Venture Services Manager or escalated to the Branch Manager
- Perform operational and administrative functions for venture distribution client-related requests (i.e., check requests, wiring funds, address changes, account instructions, etc.)
- Distribute Operational Daily Action Repots
- Complete daily cashiering functions

Education & Experience
- Minimum Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum Required: 2 years of experience interacting with high level clients within the financial services or investment management industry
Licenses & Credentials
- Minimum Required: Series 7 and 63 or 66
Systems & Technology
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, BETA Terminal
