The Fixed Income Finance Trader is responsible for managing the daily funding and borrowing of the firm's inventory positions, which include, US Treasuries, Agency & Non-Agency MBS, CMOs, SBAs, Investment Grade and High-Yield Corporates, as well as Emerging Market securities. The role also involves monitoring the entire repo life cycle which includes collateral optimization, repo margining and exposure, as well as coordination with Operations to ensure seamless settlement of all securities borrowed and lent. The individual stays informed on market events and trends and is diligent with Regulatory and Compliance guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinates the daily funding and borrowing of the firms long and short inventory positions
• Monitors Repo counterparty credit limits and mark-to-market exposure daily
• Coordinates with Operations to settle all borrowed and financed securities
• Communicates market color to appropriate trading departments
• Maintains existing and develops new repo financing relationships
• Ensures that the repo funding profile of the firm is prudent and reasonable
• Assists with the documentation and credit process for new accounts

Qualifications:

• Experience with Repo and/or short-term interest rate trading
• Strong leadership skills
• Proficient presentation skills
• Solid math and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work collegially within a team environment

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering related field preferred
• Licensing: successful completion of SIE, 7 and 63 licenses required
• 3-5 years related experience required

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Bloomberg
