Description

The Electronic Trader will focus on the real-time, daily coverage and support of algorithmic trading clients and their orders. Primary responsibilities will include monitoring the trading system in real-time for performance and platform integrity, assisting clients with their selection and usage of algorithms, reviewing and assessing performance of execution algorithms, and developing relationships with internal and external traders.

• Develop a strong knowledge of equity trading algorithms and systems.
• Provide first line support to all algorithmic trading including during extended hours trading.
• Communicate performance outliers, product changes, and potential algo issues with internal and external clients on a daily basis.
• Perform ongoing execution analysis and apply that in a client service capacity to assist clients with optimal use of algorithms.

• Knowledge of equity markets and trade processing.
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Ability to follow a technical, "data driven" approach as part of day-to-day duties.
• Ability to network and quickly develop working relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and quickly gain proficiency.
• Strong teamwork, written and verbal communication skills.

• Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Minimum Required: 0-3 years of trading or supporting US equity trading desk.

• Minimum required: FINRA Series 7.

• Proficient with Fidessa Order Management System.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
