Under the direction of the ERM Managing Director, Stifel (or “the Firm”) is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Third-Party Risk Management to join our team. The position is responsible for providing oversight and, along with the Third Party Risk Management Program Manager, effectively managing risks associated with third-party relationships. It also ensures compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines throughout the TPRM lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
• Contribute to the strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the TPRM function in conjunction with ERM Managing Director and the Third Party Risk Management Program Manager to ensure that the overall TPRM framework continues to align with ERM's strategic plan.
• Update and manage TPRM's Program, which includes, but is not limited to, policies, procedures, processes, training, etc.
• Communicate, educate, and socialize TPRM's Policy to senior leadership, business units, and all relevant stakeholders as necessary.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate third-party risk management practices and establish risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide oversight and direction to the TPRM team responsible for vendor due diligence, risk identification, risk assessment, and risk mitigation.
• Develop metrics that align with industry-leading practices and implement effective processes to identify, measure, manage, monitor, and report TPRM risks.

• Effective communication skills and ability to relay information well in written and verbal forms at all levels of management, as well as lead presentations.
• Able to manage priorities, deadlines, and tasks to meet and accomplish goals.
• Good interpersonal interaction and working well with others at all levels of the Firm.
• Solid knowledge of TPRM tools used in the industry.
• Strong computer literacy.
• The ability to multi-task and execute tasks effectively in a high-profile and high-pressure environment is crucial.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Education & Experience
• Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in a Business, Risk Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum Required: 10+ years of experience in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field focusing on third-party risk in the financial services industry.
Licenses & Credentials
• Professional certifications such as Certified Risk and Information System Control (CRISC), Certified Third-Party Risk Professional (CTPRP), or similar are preferred.
Systems & Technology
• Proficient in tools used to manage third-party risk (e.g., OneTrust).
• Proficient and demonstrated skills in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI).
