Qualifications

Required:

• BS degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• 5+ years of experience with the design and analysis of rocket propulsion systems
• Experience in the design and fabrication of solid rocket motor technology
• Demonstrated experience in supporting the transition of R&D technology to the services
• Ability to communicate effectively and possess excellent oral and writing skills
• Self-starter and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Able to work fully onsite in Arlington, VA based on client needs

Desired:

• Experience with manufacturing best practices
• Previous experience with related USAF PEO
• Experience with the Weapon System Explosives Safety Review Board (WSESRB) process

We are seeking a Technical SETA with expert knowledge in Solid Rocket Motors to support DARPA.  As a key member of our dynamic team, you will provide valuable insight in solid rocket motor propulsion systems.  The candidate will have an understanding of the physics of propulsion and should have the ability to build a system from the ground up. You will assist with safety and qualification processes of propulsion systems. Proactively engage with PEOs and help forge early-program transition paths. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of solid rocket motor designs with overall program objectives.
