Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related technical degree
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- DoD Secret security clearance, and the ability to maintain it
Desired
- Master's of Science degree in an Engineering discipline
At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, development, integration and testing of Naval electronic warfare systems such as SLQ-32(V)6/7 and Advanced Off-board Electronic Warfare (AOEW)
At least 5 years of experience integrating with the Navy's Product Line Architecture
Responsibilities
SPA is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead engineering efforts for the Soft Kill Coordination Subsystem (SKCS) within the U.S. Navy Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors & Lasers Directorate (PEO IWS 2.0). You will directly support the SKCS Assistant Program Manager.
As Lead Systems Engineer, you will be expected to provide technical and programmatic leadership to systems engineering working groups including Hardware, Software, Platform Integration, Combat System Integration, and Interface Control. You will be expected to have a firm understanding of design goals and interpretation of Navy regulations and serve as the subject matter expert for SKCS system design related issues and system integration.
A hybrid work environment is allowed, but you must have the ability to regularly work on-site in DC. Regular travel (~5-10%) may be required in this position.
