SAIC is seeking a Risk Management Lead with experience in identifying and evaluating risks across various projects and processes, as well facilitating strategic plans to monitor and mitigate the impact of these risks to join the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Team in El Segundo, California.
PNT SE&I provides engineering, integration, technical analysis, and subject matter expertise (SME) support to the US Space Force. As a member of our PNT SE&I Team, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with Government personnel and systems engineers to lead a team specialized in engineering, analysis, operations support, and subject matter expertise to the GPS program.
Major duties of this position include:
- Act as a premier process consultant, offering subject matter expertise on GPS satellite programs, and spearhead the methods of implementation for risk management processes.
- Engage with Space Force customers to facilitate and manage risk identification sessions, ensuring thorough understanding and documentation of potential project risks.
- Devise and articulate clear risk statements, conduct in-depth root cause analyses, and formulate strategic handling and fallback plans.
- Conduct impact and resource assessments and integrate risk mitigation strategies seamlessly into project life cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration or related field.
- 9+ years of engineering experience (3 years of experience focused on risk management).
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Strong, proactive leader who takes the initiative to identify, own and solve customer challenges.
- Experience with risk identification, analysis, monitoring.
- Experience with direct engagement with government customers.

- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Demonstrated experience in engineering, analysis, and operations support for defense satellite programs.
- Capacity to conduct comprehensive risk analyses and assessments.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient in web-based tools such as Power BI.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
