SAIC is seeking an experienced Industrial Security Specialist to support our customer's Office of Security. This individual will be required to operate in a diverse security environment.
The Industrial Security Specialist Duties will be responsible for the following:
- Create DoD task order Security Classification Specification (DD Form 254) (or successor forms) as appropriate. Upon request, provide feedback, reviews, and updates of the DD Form 254 (or successor forms).
- Manage the Industrial Security secure and unclassified customer service phone lines, email accounts, and other forms of communication, as appropriate. Respond to customer/stakeholder requests for assistance/information in a timely manner.
- Conduct Customer Assistance Visits (CAVs) to CONUS industrial partner locations that re performing classified work off-site in support of customer contracts or other agreements.
- Perform observations of physical security aspects and provide industrial security program guidance to industry security personnel pertaining to implementation of NISPOM requirements.
- Process and track Facility Clearance packages and National Interest Determinations upon request·
- Provide timely, properly edited CAV trip reports that include a list of meeting attendees and a synopsis of topics of discussion, items of interest, and follow-on actions/due outs, when applicable.
- Coordinate with customer and external agencies to obtain information, develop solutions, and communicate with customers/stakeholders. Provide technical expertise concerning physical, personnel, information, and operations security to industry partners.
- Review, analyze, interpret, and maintain internal customer policy documents, standard operating procedures, program briefings and instructional material pertaining to the Industrial Security program.
- Maintain a security reference library connected to Industrial Security. Library material is not limited to DoD or IC generated material. Library may be a combination of printed and electronic material.
- Upon request, provide content for taskers, weekly activity reports, staff meetings, and other engagements as appropriate.
- Represent Industrial Security by presenting content at internal or external working groups, informational briefings, and training sessions upon request.
- Coordinate with customer, as appropriate, to obtain information, develop solutions, and communicate guidance to customers/stakeholders.
- Upon request, attend security conferences, webinars, and/or training to increase knowledge and promote NISPOM compliance.
- When appropriate, use databases and various internal customer web tools to validate applicable security information.
- Maintain and update Industrial Security records upon request including electronic shared folder and hardcopy documentation.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast pace work environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active TS/SCI is required and candidates must have this in order to be considered
- Willing and able to obtain a Polygraph
- 1-3 years' experience executing 32 SCF Part 117, National Security Program
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time within the Continental U.S to support Customer Assistance Visit inspections
- Experience using Microsoft Suite)
- Experience presenting various security briefings
Desired:
- Possess a Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
- Possess knowledge of the most up-to-date DoD and IC security directives, instructions, standards, and guidelines to enforce industrial security compliance and mitigate security risks.
