Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated professionals in El Segundo, CA who assist the US Air Force in developing and deploying the next generation of satellites and ground systems for missile warning (MW) and environmental monitoring (EM) capabilities. These systems alert senior military officials when missile launches occur around the globe, as well as enable global naval vessel and troop movements by providing mission-critical weather data to ensure safe passage.

Our Remote Sensing Systems Engineering & Integration (RS SE&I) team has an immediate need for an Office Manager / Administrative Assistant to organize and coordinate office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency and support of the Air Force customer. Candidate will support the contractor (SE&I) team that in turn supports the Space and Missile Systems Center Remote Sensing Directorate (SMC/RS). The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly customer-service friendly, well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people.


Major duties of the position include:

  • On-boarding new SE&I contractor personnel
  • Booking travel and processing expense reports

  • Coordinating internal and customer training

  • Planning social events for the office

  • Ordering office supplies

  • Booking conference rooms

  • Ordering food for meetings, events, etc.

Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years of related and demonstrated experience with abilities in the following:
    • Demonstrated customer-service orientation and disposition

    • Proven office management, administrative or assistant experience

    • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

    • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

    • Attention to detail and problem solving skills

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong organizational and planning skills

    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Microsoft SharePoint
  • Must have an active Secret level clearance


Desired Qualifications

  • Technical writing or editing experience

  • Experience developing and/or facilitating training material and classes

  • Active TS/SCI desirable
