Job Description
• Assist in the collection, verification, and logging of inventory data into DPAS.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure all property and assets are accurately documented and maintained in the DPAS system.
• Work closely with the Inventory Management team to support day-to-day operations.
• Generate inventory reports and assist with data analysis.
• Maintain organized records and files related to inventory activities.
• Identify and report any issues or discrepancies in inventory data to the supervisor.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to property accountability and security.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
It is required that the Logistical Intern have the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, preferably pursing a degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems or a related field.
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or greater and is expected to graduate in 2025 through 2027.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. If selected for the program, SAIC will sponsor the clearance.
- Must reside in the local area with the ability to report to the customer site.
- Available to work 10-20 hours per week.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as a part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
