Job Title: Set-Up Technician
Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Set-Up Technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment! In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the start-ups and changeovers of production runs, utilizing the most efficient methods to minimize scrap and downtime. Your expertise will help ensure that our operations run smoothly while you assist in troubleshooting and training fellow team members to meet our customers' needs effectively.
Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Location: Spring Lake, MI
- Pay Rate: $18.50
- Shift: 1st Shift 7:00am-3:00pm
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Execute multiple tooling changes during an 8-hour shift.
- Operate and manage various extrusion types, including Single, Dual, and Tri Extrusion.
- Work with different die types such as Streamline, Flat back, and Button dies.
- Manage sizing types including Profile Plates in water tanks and Vacuum Calibration.
- Oversee lamination processes and in-line cutting operations.
- Respond promptly to Andon board requests.
- Engage in Kaizen and corrective action events to promote continuous improvement.
- Perform 6S and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers and management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet work standards without direct supervision.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and navigation of internal programs.
