Project and Process Excellence Quality Engineer II

Schedule: On-site Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm
Length of assignment: through 2025 likely to extend.
Pay: $31-33  an hour Depending on experience
Responsibilities
The position has the primary responsibility to assist in the development and implementation of the plant's Operational Excellence initiative within the  QA organization.
The focus of the position will be to assist in defining, leading, executing, and tracking projects and helping to keep deliverables on track and meet the project objectives. Associate in this position will be tasked with diverse projects, analyzing, and evaluating data, extracting pertinent information, preparing reports,  and preparing information abstracts and executive summaries of material searched.

Responsibilities:
•   Conducting value stream analysis to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of current operations and create a vision for a new future state. Review existing and new procedures/controls to identify obstacles, create plans and organize teams to change. Performs modification of current documents and procedures via QCR/CR document change control (Kintana, D2).
•   Lead the planning and execution of Rapid Improvement Events or Just Do It to eliminate waste from processes resulting in improved productivity.
•   Training/coaching staff (line leaders or office staff) via Gemba walks on problem-solving behaviors and basic Lean methodologies including flow, on-demand, zero defects, standardized work, and visual management.
•   Support adherence to Rapid Improvement Event standard work by ensuring high levels of engagement and collaboration during pre-work, event week, and post-event weeks. 
•   Collaborating with Department Managers and Supervisors to resolve any issues that arise during the implementation and/or maintenance phases.  Identify key resources and provide the direction required to meet the project objectives.
•    Coordinate meeting logistics and facilitate required deliverables for the various project teams.
•    Manage administrative aspects for the team while driving the execution of key deliverables.
•    Execute communications and efforts for regular process updates and changes.
•    Facilitate effective communication and support across the team and with relevant stakeholders and senior leadership.
•    Perform ad-hoc data or financial analysis, data trending, data analysis, and writing of technical and stability reports to support various projects, regulatory filing for new/modified processes and/or investigations. Prepare charts, graphs, or forms to go along with the reports.

Qualifications:

•   Bachelor's degree
•   Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with various audiences.
•   Computer program efficiency (MS Office) and coding knowledge (Web Design · HTML Coding · Javascript).
•   Requires capacity to understand specific department and project needs. Detail-oriented and focused to ensure the right first-time delivery. Excellent work ethic.
