Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Picker and Packer to join our warehouse team. As a Picker and Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and packaging products for shipment based on customer orders. Utilizing technology and following established protocols, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to our valued customers. Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Location: 2100 NE 181st Ave Portland OR 97230
- Pay Rate: $21.00/hr
- Shift: 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Select and package products for shipment based on customer orders
- Use technology, such as smartphones and handheld devices, to sort, scan, and prepare orders
- Inspect items for possible damage or defects before shipment
- Fill customer orders promptly by reviewing order forms and ensuring accurate quantities and specifications
- Handle, install, position, and move materials to optimize inventory and meet customer orders
- Operate automated, computerized, or robotic picking and packing systems
- Attach identification information, including pricing, to products or containers
- Compare invoices to items received to ensure accurate incoming shipments

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1 year manufacturing or warehouse experience
- Forklift Certification a plus

Relevant responsibilities include:
- Requisitioning merchandise from suppliers based on available space, inventory, or customer demand
- Keeping products separated, organized, and in good rotation
- Following safety protocols and reporting problems to mitigate safety issues
- Operating various pieces of equipment, such as palletizers, dolly loaders, pallet wrappers, forklifts, and electrical pallet jacks
- Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset and assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes
- Stocking shelves and racks with new or transferred merchandise and maintaining products in an organized manner
- Disposing of damaged, defective, excess, or obsolete stock items or returning them to vendors
- Answering customer questions about shipments and deliveries
- Filing receipts and tracking orders using order fulfillment software
- Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area
- Performing other duties as assigned
