Patient Care Advocate
Location: MUST LIVE NEAR LEHI, UTAH
Type: Temp-to-Hire, Potential to work from home after 3-6 months
Hours: 8-hour shifts between 6 am and 12 am
We are hiring for the largest provider in the U.S. for after-hours telehealth support. We support callers from 4000+ medical facilities by answering questions, scheduling appointments and connecting patients with the right medical support. You will be working in a brand-new call center in Lehi, UT with the chance for working remotely (From home) in 3 to 6 months.
Essential Job Duties:
-Answer all phone calls in a calm, courteous, and professional manner
-Identify and handle patient needs, while working in a team environment
-Collect and update new patients demographic and insurance information; verify and update established patients demographic and insurance information
-Schedule patient appointments accurately in system according to established policies and procedures
-Submit patient messages through system for prescription refills, medical questions, referrals, form requests or lab/test results, according to established policies and procedures
-Schedule appointment requests from the patient portal and process return mail in EMR system
-Submit appropriate and detailed documentation for patient appointments and patient cases in system
-Responsible for meeting or exceeding the productivity and quality standards
-Must be bilingual/Spanish
-High School Diploma or equivalent/GED required, higher education helpful.
-Experience in call center or equivalent customer service setting.
-Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and accurate data entry.
-Ability to remain sitting for long periods of time to perform work on a computer and telephone.
-See, read and follow protocol provided via computer monitor.
-Ability to follow policies and procedures including OSHA and HIPPA guidelines.
-Comfortable with verbal and written communication skills in both English in Spanish.
-Ability to speak clearly and concisely with a pleasant telephone voice.
-Ability to work onsite 3-6 months prior to being eligible to work from home.
