Description

IT Support Specialist is responsible for  ensuring continuity of endpoint system services for users by providing the technical expertise, assistance, and project coordination necessary to install and support endpoint applications, modify/repair hardware and resolve technical problems.  Provides complex technical support for end-user clients.  Troubleshoots problem areas and performs on-site or remote, repair, and installation on desktops, laptops, printers, and other related peripheral devices.  Supports mobile workforce.  Performs user training.

 

  • Procurement, setup, maintenance of Label Printers (Zebra, HP, etc.) for Label Printing of waves and at Pack Stations, Commercial Carrier Ship stations, etc. Perform Monthly preventative Maintenance.
  • Setup, configure, apply updates, maintain, RF Handheld scanners & Mobile Computers used in the Warehouse environment that are connected via Wi-Fi, such as Keyence, Zebra, Honeywell, etc.
  • Setup, configure, maintain pack stations for ecommerce consisting of a PC or Thin Client; Monitor; Scale; Label Printer; Page Laser Printer; Keyboard & Mouse
  • Create, update, maintain, Common Carrier shipping stations for carriers such as FedEX ShipManager or UPS Worldship
  • Manage the warehouse print servers to add, update, remove printers as needed.
  • Manage Terminal Servers the support the RDP connections from Thin Clients in the warehouse.
  • Add, Remove, Change users in the FoxPro & Körber WMS systems.
  • Review the SD-WAN network via the Meraki Dashboard for any issues.
  • Responsible for the local Internet Service Provider (ISP) at each location, open tickets for outages or degradation of services on the ISP link, work with the vendor to manage and expedite/escalate repair.
  • Install network equipment such as Wireless Access Points, Cisco Switches, Verkada Cameras, etc. under the direction of Network Services
  • Determine need for any wiring request for network drops, contact vendor, obtain price quote, oversee, and manage work performed by the vendor.
  • Configure ports on the Cisco Switches for correct VLAN, etc.
  • Manage and administer the 8x8 VoIP phone system for moves, adds, changes at each location. Maintain proper inventory of spare phones.
  • Support SonicWALL VPN for customer & partner connections, add to the correct AD Security group, and setup in Cisco Duo for MFA
  • Manage Active Directory (AD) to add, move, change users & devices, add to proper OU and Security groups as required.
  • Cisco Duo – administer the cloud-based application for users having issues, review for out-of-date devices, remove inactive or terminated users via the AD security group, for Cisco AnyConnect VPN and SonicWall VPN.
  • Office365 – manage and administer Office365 & MS Entra to add, remove, change users & resources, distribution lists, configure access, assign licenses.
  • Work closely with the local warehouse management to ensure all devise and users are working properly. Immediately address any issues affecting the ability of the business to perform work.  Provide notification to management of any systemic or large outage, escalation of incident as appropriate.

  • Associate's Degree in a technical or computer related field of study, or equivalent related experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 4+ years experience performing increasingly senior level desktop hardware, software, and operating systems support
  • Understanding and experience with current Miscrosoft and Apple operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office, including operation and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management including procurement and security
  • Extensive knowledge of configuration, support, and failure analysis of major OEM (HP, IBM, Dell) desktop systems hardware and peripherals
  • General understanding server computing, networking, phone setup / support, storage, virtualization, and business applications
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • ITIL Foundations certification preferred
  • Microsoft Certified Professional preferred
  • Experience with asset lifecycle management and procurement
  • Experience with endpoint patching and securityAbility to work shifts of at least (8) hour, and occasionally longer, (5) days per week
  • Ability to work in cold/hot/dusty/loud environment
  • Ability to work with limited supervision as a primary onsite IT member
