Description
Position Summary
This individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for the SCS division including rate verification, audits, and manifest creation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Invoice in a timely manner
- Answer customer inquiries regarding any invoicing discrepancies and revise disputed invoices as needed
- Create accurate manifests and customer backups
- Manage, track and bill all extra charges
- Update and maintain customer billing information via TMS
- Work closely with pricing to confirm rates with purchase orders
- Work directly with processing dept. to ensure all jobs are turned in a timely manner.
- Track Revenue and Cost and report on trends monthly
- Verify AR is correct based on carrier AP if applicable
- Closeout loads for assigned customers by validating AP & AR, request and collect required customer documents if applicable
- Monitor assigned account credit limits and work closely with credit department to ensure proper business flow
- Update invoicing SOPs for assigned customers as needed
- Assist with "special projects" as needed
- Track aging and follow up with customers in delinquent status
- Develop skills and understanding to assist with and backup the pricing analysts position
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably with an emphasis on finances or accounting) or two years college combined with 2+years of experience.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office, TMS and Logistics
