Join Yardi as a Senior Systems Administrator and play a key role in our 24/7 Screening Systems Operations team. This technical position involves managing client-facing applications, focusing on design, troubleshooting, and resolving complex enterprise system issues. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in supporting multi-tier applications. Responsibilities include handling requests, fixing technical problems, and optimizing system performance.
What You'll Do:
- Administration, support and optimization of enterprise applications and their systems in a 24x7 Cloud environment.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize system resources to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Respond to alerts and incidents, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats. This includes patch management, vulnerability scanning, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.
- Solve problems with the goal of never having to solve the problem again. Methods include but are not limited to automation, scripting, process redesign, consistency and training other team members.
- Be a self-directed project manager for large scale projects affecting multiple machines, clients and/or data centers.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Seven (7)+ years' Systems Administration experience in an enterprise, cloud and or SaaS environment.
- Working knowledge of multi-tier applications and their dependencies including load balancing, TCP/IP networking, web services, LDAP, DNS, database, and file-share.
- Knowledge of deployment automation, orchestration and configuration management: experience with Kubernetes, Docker, TeamCity, Puppet.
- Linux system administration experience.
- Strong scripting skills in one of Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Solid background in systems engineering and operations.
- Knowledge of open source monitoring tools such as ELK, Icinga and Graphite preferred.
- Strong sense of customer service with good analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Detail oriented with a strong desire to take ownership of a problem and see it through until resolution.
