Job Summary

The IT DevOps Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality, customer-focused infrastructure and cloud services for WorkCare. This role drives technology rollouts, evaluates emerging technologies, and ensures optimal performance and reliability of systems. The manager collaborates with IT leadership to develop strategies, optimize automation, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure that supports business goals.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interface with end users providing support and troubleshooting of technology related issues and requests.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Install, maintain, and configure hardware and software systems according to company standards.
  • Coordinate and assist with high priority incidents and problem management lifecycle.
  • Act as link between end users and advanced support teams, proactively troubleshooting or escalating as needed.
  • Participates in off hours on-call support.
  • Assist in building and maintaining knowledgebase (how-to) documentation.
  • Performs hands on assistance with hardware deployment, replacement, maintenance, troubleshooting and software installation.
  • Collaborate within IT team and inter-departmentally to maintain ensure technology is functioning according to standards.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership of assigned tasks and exploring opportunities to add value to job, team, and department.
  • Assist with the manage IT equipment inventory and lifecycle, procurement, inventory, and e-waste processing.
  • Leads or participates in team projects that enhance the quality or efficiency of service. May coordinate special projects in support of departmental and company goals and objectives.
  • Assists with producing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly statistical reports related to the health and management of technology resources.
  • Performs additional duties and assumes additional responsibilities as identified by supervisor for the efficient operation of WorkCare technologies.
  • Mentor and train DevOps Engineers reporting to this position.
  • Work with Director of IT Operations and VP of Technology & Security to set strategy and build roadmaps.
  • Provide input on financial matters impacting the team.


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with a Minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on experience in computer hardware, software technologies. Certification such as A+, MCP, or ITIL is a plus.

Computer Skills

  • Must have expertise with the variety of off-the-shelf software for office productivity such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Office applications, and Adobe programs. Knowledge of Structured Query Language and relational databases such as, but not limited to, Access and SQL Server preferred. Must be able to learn other software as needed.


Physical Demands

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
  • Some bending and stretching could be required.
  • Working under stress and use of computer/phone required
  • Manual dexterity required for use of calculator and computer keyboard.
  • Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires occasional lifting and carrying of computer equipment.


Work Environment

  • Work Environment must be free from background noise and distraction, noise level is acceptable, temperature is controlled.
  • Air or land travel may be required periodically to support remote office locations and/or meet with vendors/clients.

This position has a salary range of $115,000 - $130,000 annually. Final compensation offered to the final candidate depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
