Position Reports to: Nutrition Services Manager                           

Department Description: Wilson Health's Dietary Food & Nutritional Services Department is responsible for providing excellent (patient, staff, and guest) focused nutritional care. Staff is dedicated to providing nutritious and delicious meals along with excellent customer service through efficient meal delivery.  
Job Summary:  Performs a variety of patient food service duties under the direction of Operations Manager.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Is familiar with special diets and food selections appropriate to those diets.
  • Interacts with patients and other employees in a pleasant and helpful manner.
  • Accurately and efficiently plates and serves patient meals.
  • Operates food and nutrition department computer system (DFM) to print reports, tallies, etc., as needed.
  • Assists in preparation of patient food items.
  • Maintains temperature records for department refrigeration and freezers.
  • Prepares and delivers between meal nourishment.
  • Prepares and delivers late meal trays as requested.
  • Completes nutritional screening form under the direction of the dietitian.
  • Reports any needed supplies, faulty working equipment, accidents, problems, etc.
