MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High school graduate or GED.
2. A WV State Journeyman or Master Electrician License (other state licenses governed by reciprocity requirements under WV Code Chapter 29 Article 3B must be obtained within 12 months of employment.), or applicable state licensure where services will be performed. 
3. Must have a valid driver's license.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Five (5) years of experience with electrical systems.


CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position.  They are not intended to be constructed as an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities and duties. 1. Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of all hospital electrical systems to include, normal electrical distribution systems, critical power distribution systems, emergency power distribution systems, fire alarm systems, low voltage and high voltage control systems.
2. Supervises general facility maintenance workers by allocating and coordinating workflow, training, and advising, in more complex electrical repair work throughout the hospital.
3. Provides skilled preventive and corrective repair work throughout the hospital.
4. Has access to, and is responsible for, performing assigned duties in locked medication rooms. This position is aware that they are not responsible for medications, and they should report any unsecured medications to a licensed professional.
5. Maintain established department and hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environment, infection and hazardous material control.
6. Performs other duties as directed.

1. Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, pushing, and pulling.
2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
3. Ability to climb and work off of ladders, scaffolding or electric lifts and operate basic manual cleaning equipment​.
