Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage relationships with current divisions and focus on service quality and sales potential while helping to balance inventory.
- Contact local and regional divisions/hauling partners to develop current relationships
- Conduct market analysis in current and new markets to project market growth, strategies, and profitability goals.
- Negotiate current pricing based on market projections and potential.
- Work closely with local divisions/hauling partners and sales team to develop new product options within targe market parameters.
- Collaborate cross functionally to assist with operational gaps, strategic planning, and quality control issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of sales/marketing/business development experience within the Waste, Construction or services industry preferred.
- Broad base of expertise across the sales processes i.e. sales generation, customer interaction, presentation, client interaction, negotiation, account management, forecasting, pricing, and sales closure.
- Successful track record of developing win-win partnerships in competitive settings.
- Superior written and oral communication skills combined with above average organization, interpersonal, listening, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Professional demeanor and adaptability required to change as dictated by situation(s).
- Proficiency in using array of software packages, including MS Outlook, Word, PPT and Excel.
- Outstanding skills in negotiation, contract management, forecasting and strategic planning.
- Experienced in developing strategies to increase sales volumes, manage costs and source potential opportunities through different channels.
- Knowledge of the Waste Industry and relevant external forces that influence the client's buying decision.
- Organized and intellectually able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
- High degree of autonomy, yet team oriented with ability to work cross functionally within dynamic environment.
