The Family Research Lab (https://labs.utdallas.edu/familyresearchlab/) at University of Texas at Dallas, directed by Dr. Jackie Nelson, is seeking a full-time Research Assistant I/Lab Coordinator to work on an NSF-funded project that investigates family language environments. This is an exciting opportunity for recent college graduates interested in family dynamics and children's language development.
The position is full-time with benefits, in-person on the UT-Dallas Richardson campus. Weekend and evening hours will be needed during later phases of data collection in families' homes; although, the lab coordinator has flexibility in creating their own weekday schedule.
The start date for this position is August 1, 2025.
This position is funded for one (1) year with the possibility of renewal, dependent on performance and continued funding availability.
Minimum Education and Experience
.High school graduate or equivalent.

- Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field
- One year of research experience
- Experience with language transcription
- Experience with CLAN language analysis software
- Fluency in Spanish or Mandarin is preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Training student RAs
- Managing RA tasks and progress
- Transcribing and analyzing language environments
- Developing protocols for recruitment and data collection
- Overall project management
- Participant recruitment
- Data collection supervision
- Home visits with families
- Managing behavioral observational coding
- Other duties as assigned
