Description
The Brain Circuits Laboratory, led by Steven Small and Ana Solodkin, is seeking highly motivated post-doctoral scientists interested in understanding the neurobiology of language using naturalistic approaches and dynamic network modeling and/or studying multi-scale modeling of brain dynamics in neurodegenerative diseases.
The Research Associate will be primarily responsible for planning, conducting, and directing a wide variety of experiments, for evaluating and interpreting research data, all with a significant writing responsibility, including research protocols, IRB applications, grant proposals, and manuscripts. Supervision of graduate and undergraduate students is part of this responsibility. The position will involve conducting experiments using advanced human brain recording equipment; applying complex image acquisition and analysis techniques; and planning and executing experiments according to research protocols.
This position is in the Department of Neuroscience in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD — bbs.utdallas.edu). UTD is the fastest growing University in Texas, and until reaching its 50th anniversary recently, was ranked number 1 in the nation among universities less than 50 years old. UT Dallas houses a vibrant research community.
