Description

The Housing Operations Coordinator serves as a day-to-day specialist for several critical University Housing services. These services – including marketing, communication, event setup and support, package and software logistics, and card access security functions – provide a safe and comfortable physical environment for residents in their academic and personal development. The Housing Operations Coordinator provides direct oversight of these growing services. The Housing Operations Coordinator provides excellent customer service within University Housing.

This is a live-on position.

Minimum Education and Experience

-Bachelor's Degree
-One to three years University Housing experience or administrative experience.
-Intermediate proficiency in general computer and audiovisual equipment skills and troubleshooting.
-Intermediate proficiency with MicroSoft Office.
-Basic Database use.



Preferred Education and Experience

A Master's degree and experience in a University housing environment are preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties of the Housing Operations Coordinator will include, but are not limited to, staff supervision and scheduling, technology support, room reservations and setup, LLC technology and relations, sustainability efforts and programs, general logistics and support, housing tours and tour guides, monitoring building signage and notifications, monitoring desk and building resources, sending building/campus notifications as needed, and building storage room inventory and upkeep.

The Housing Operations Coordinator will also conduct routine inspections to include fire drills and life safety system, move-in/move-out room conditions, grounds, health & safety, and readiness.

The Housing Operations Coordinator will participate in staff on-call rotations, Housing Operations professional development and cross-training, and resident move-in. This position will serve as the front desk backup support, general staff support/buffer for absences and vacations, vendor escorts, and Operations and Maintenance customer service support. Other duties as assigned. This is a live-on position.

Additional Information

Remote Work Notice:
After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval
May be required to report to on-site work location during campus closure and inclement weather.
