Description

The Event and Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in organizing, planning, managing, promoting, marketing, and executing programs and events for the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This position requires a highly organized individual with strong program and event management skills to ensure the successful execution of the institute's initiatives.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree; three or more years experience in corporate communications, marketing, or a closely related field, including writing and editing marketing materials and/or special events planning. Experience with purchasing and budgeting requirements of special events. Experience with social media marketing tools. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Proven experience in program and event management.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in an academic or non-profit environment.
  • Familiarity with innovation and entrepreneurship programs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report directly to the Executive Director of the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
  • Organize, plan, and manage the timely execution of deliverables for various programs and events.
  • Promote and market the institute's programs and events.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders associated with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship teams.
  • Coordinate scheduling, project management, and all event planning details.
  • Ensure the successful execution of all programs and events.
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to align on goals and expectations.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary.

Remote Work Notice
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly). Employees must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
