The Jindal School of Management (JSOM) Career Management Center at The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a Corporate Relations Specialist – Employer Engagement to play a vital role in bridging the gap between top-tier employers and ambitious students. In this dynamic position, you'll lead strategic outreach efforts to cultivate and strengthen relationships with employers, creating meaningful career opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and Full-Time MBA students.

You'll organize high-impact career events, advise students one-on-one, and deliver career readiness programming, helping students craft standout resumes, prepare for interviews, and pursue their career goals with confidence. By maintaining an active employer database and developing innovative engagement strategies, you'll ensure our students have access to a network of hiring partners.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree. Three to five years in corporate/business experience.



Preferred Education and Experience

Preferred Qualifications 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including outstanding presentation skills and computer skills
  • Ability to use data effectively to make decisions
  • Must be able to create, develop, maintain, and report on performance metrics related to all seminars and career advising functions
  • Must be competent with Microsoft Suites
  • Must be multi-task oriented and capable of working with specific deadlines


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Career Event Planning & Facilitation:
  • Develop, organize, and lead monthly career events and weekly company engagement sessions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate weekly workshops on key career development topics, including résumé writing, networking strategies, job search techniques, interview preparation, offer negotiation, and career planning for Domestic and International students.
  • Support and promote career education during new student orientation events.
Employer Engagement & Relationship Management:
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with external employers and all JSOM degree/programs.
  • Conduct outreach via phone, LinkedIn, and corporate visits to expand the list of companies recruiting on campus.
  • Manage employer data and CRM updates in Salesforce and the university's job site.
  • Employer Engagement will be evaluated based on student and employer feedback, quality of career guidance materials, and effectiveness of resume templates and resume books.
Full-Time MBA Student Support:
  • Provide personalized career advising and resume reviews at four key stages: post-admission, end of first semester, end of second semester, and post-internship.
  • Use perfected resumes to develop and distribute resume books using standardized templates for targeted audiences.
  • Offer ongoing career counseling and guidance throughout the MBA program.
Data Management & Reporting:
  • Collect, maintain, and report monthly statistics on events and student engagement.
  • Use data insights to support strategic decisions by the Assistant Dean.
Other Duties:
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Dean.

Remote Work Notice
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly). Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
