Description

The Administrative Project Coordinator for Leadership Development and Young Scholars Programs plays a critical role in supporting student engagement and success at the Jindal School of Management (JSOM). This position is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the Young Scholars Program (YSP), including recruitment, event planning, communication, and budget management. 

Additionally, the coordinator assists the Senior Director with the oversight of JSOM student clubs, organizations, and leadership development initiatives. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and university departments to enhance the student experience and promote program growth.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and three years of administrative experience, experience related to the project area or any equivalent combination of education and experience.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Recruit high school students for the Jindal Young Scholars Program (YSP).
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate YSP junior campus visits to UTD in the spring and senior campus visits in the fall.
  • Plan and execute YSP events at UTD, including “Signing Day,” “Friends and Family Welcome Event,” and “Scholarship Breakfast.”
  • Maintain regular communication with YSP Scholarship Recipients through individual and group meetings to provide support and address student needs.
  • Collaborate with the Office of External Affairs to market YSP programs, including maintaining an active social media presence.
  • Partner with the Office of Development to identify and support fundraising opportunities for YSP programs.
  • Engage and collaborate with other university departments such as the Undergraduate Success Scholars Program, Financial Aid, Housing, Living Learning Communities, Underrepresented Minority Recruitment, and Program Directors.
  • Manage the selection process for YSP Scholarship Recipients.
  • Maintain and update the YSP website.
  • Manage and update budgets for both YSP and Leadership programs.
  • Coordinate with JSOM clubs and organizations on room reservations, calendar scheduling, and funding requests.
  • Maintain and reconcile funding accounts for student clubs and organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Remote Work Notice
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly). Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
