University of Pittsburgh Physicians (UPP) Anesthesia Department seeks a full-time, general anesthesiologist to join its expanding team near Pittsburgh. The successful candidate will enjoy a clinical academic appointment and provide services at its UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon locations supervising an experienced CRNA team. UPMC Jameson provides the higher acuity surgical services with 6 ORs, 2 Procedure Rooms and a 12-bed ICU as well as a full array of surgeons including orthopedics, urology, general, vascular, bariatrics, breast and robotics but excluding cardiothoracic, trauma, neurosurgery and OB/GYN. Both UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon share an ACGME-accredited, general surgery residency program. UPMC Horizon is a smaller, lower acuity hospital with 6 ORs, a busy OB/GYN program (1,000 deliveries/yr) and a medical and radiation oncology service.
