Description

The University of New Mexico, Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks faculty members to join the Sub-division of Geriatric Medicine. This is an open rank and open track position. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and education.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine;
  2. Must be board certified/board eligible in Geriatric Medicine by date of hire;
  3. Must be fully licensed to work in New Mexico and
  4. Must be eligible to work in US.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Interest/Experience in providing efficient evidence based general geriatric medicine care including but not limited to geriatric assessments, prevention, nutrition/wellness, chronic and complex disease management;
  2. Interest/experience in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows;
  3. Interest/Experience in developing outpatient research and quality improvement projects in Geriatrics.;
  4. Interest/Experience in caring for underserved populations;
  5. A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
