Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Principal Investigator, provide operations and logistic project support to the Mental Health Gatekeeper Demonstration Project including coordination of campus-wide trainings and supporting the supervisor by compiling data.

This position focuses on the coordination, administration, and monitoring campus resources and mental health needs to be reflected in the mental health gatekeeper trainings and the evaluation of the trainings.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Field research experience and experience developing effective tracking systems.
  • Experience to understand, interpret, convey to other researchers, and implement department and university policy, practices and procedures in all areas of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and concepts of social science research methods and knowledge of research ethics.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, oral and written communication skills, coordination and organizational, and time management skills, working under deadlines, and Presentation skills.
  • Excellent skills with computers and software programs to handle correspondence, forms, basic spreadsheets/database, and calendaring.
  • Excellent skills creating data collection methods, doing data processing, data quality control, and developing procedures manuals.
  • Strong skills to work under deadlines and implement several tasks at once, skills to prioritize activities, act independently, and coordinate with other team members (faculty, staff and students) and campus partners and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Educational background in veterinary or public/global health, anthropology, ecology, or related field, or equivalent experience/training; experience in healthcare delivery.
  • Experience giving standardized mental health trainings, learning new software, and working on complex projects; Knowledge of campus resources and experience working with campus partners.
  • Demonstrated skills to train and supervise student employees and volunteers and working with faculty, staff and students in a university setting
  • Collaboration skills to develop short- and long-range planning and program goals, to analyze and evaluate programmatic needs and recommend changes for effective operation.
