Position Summary:
The laboratory assistant obtains and processes clinical specimens for testing and performs various clerical duties in the clinical laboratory. Assigned job duties are performed independently and he/she assists other personnel in the operation of the laboratory. He delivers reports to nursing units and communicates with the responsible health care providers via mail, telephone, and fax. he is under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and Administrative Director, Laboratory.
Required Qualifications: Valid Certified Phlebotomy Technician certificate issued by the state of California Department of Health Services.
Preferred: Acute care hospital experience preferred
