Position Summary: 

Under the supervision of the Surgical Services Director, OR Charge Nurse and Director of Anesthesia, the Anesthesia Technician is responsible for supporting the Anesthesiologist  throughout all anesthetizing locations of the hospital. This work is primarily performed in the operating room, by setting up and changing over Anesthesia carts, assisting the physician with difficult intubations, moving equipment as required by the Anesthesiologist, cleaning and maintenance of Anesthesia equipment and maintaining an aseptic environment.  Assists with Laser procedures in the Laser Safety Officer (LSO) role as deemed necessary.

Required Qualifications:

Mandatory: High School graduate or equivalent. Current BLS certification. Healthcare background preferred. Previous Laser Tech experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stand on feet for long periods of time. Must be able to push/pull gurneys and move patients to and from the gurney using good body mechanics. Must possess adequate visual and auditory acuity to perform above responsibilities.
