Position Summary:   The UCI School of Education is focused on advancing educational sciences and contributing to improved educational opportunities and outcomes for individuals across the entire lifespan.   The Research Assistant will work under the general supervision of the Lab Manager on various research projects performing standard and complex laboratory procedures. Specifically, the Research Assistant will be responsible for data entry, data analysis, and qualitative coding, applying standard quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of results. The research assistant will also attend weekly meeting with the lab manager to ensure tasks are being completed on time.
  Total Compensation:

  $21.67 - $30.35 (Hourly Rate)

 

Required:  
  • Experience in statistics and/or programming
  • Experience working with people and research 
  • Exhibits individual initiative Self-sufficient Initiates and ensures compliance with applicable data collection procedures 
  • Responsible, reliable, and punctual 
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal 
  • Possesses attention to accuracy and detail

 

Preferred:  
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience (preferably in Psychology, Education or related field)

  Special Conditions Required:  
  • Hours can potentially include after-hours or weekends – dependent on participants' schedules
