Position Summary: 

Reporting to the Psychiatry Administration office manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing coverage at the information desk in the lobby of the Neuropsychiatric Center.  Duties include, answering phones, greeting and directing patients, visitors and staff to their desired location.  Will complete daily tasks assigned to employee by supervisor. Some knowledge of computer necessary. The incumbent will perform various clerical functions assigned by supervisor and administrative office.

Salary Range: 

 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $23.67                   Midpoint  $23.67          Maximum $23.67

 

Required Qualifications:

  

Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals

Demonstrated experience using multi-line telephone system

Ability to manage complex calendars and navigate appointments

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Previous administrative and/or clerical support experience

Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Ability to appropriately deal with stressful situations and individuals while remaining calm and professional

Accurate spelling and reading comprehension

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests and priorities

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
