Position Summary: 

The Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room. Prepares and stocks the OR before and after surgery. gathers clean and sterile supplies. sets sterile instrument fields. maintains and monitors aseptic techniques. assists with the orientation of new staff. and participates on departmental committees. Required to float between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed.

Salary Range: 

 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $35.85                   Midpoint               $38.65                   Maximum $41.45

 

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

 

Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology

Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Required to float between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed.

Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility

Completion of clinical training in an acute care perioperative setting, preferably in an academic medical center

 

Licenses and Certifications:

Basic Life Support(Required)

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Possession of a national Scrub Technician certification
