To make an impact as an NNP in the NICU at the UF Health Shands, you will:
- Assist attending NICU physician in the care and management of patients.
- Coordinate continuity of patient care and contribute to the daily care of NICU patients.
- Make frequent rounds to assess the status of patients, identify alterations in patient health, and assess patient response to treatment.
- Implement nursing interventions based upon established treatment protocols and anticipate potential outcomes for those at risk for complications.
- Write orders, interact with consultants and coordinate scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.
To achieve excellence in this full-time role, we're looking for:
- A current and clear license as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in Florida.
- NICU experience is strongly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- You must meet requirements set forth by the medical staff office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as an ACNP within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF HealthCare Network, as applicable.
