Summary of Job Duties: The Research Technician will be responsible for the overall coordination of data entry and research data integrity of database management. The Research Technician will also assist with the compilation of reports from various studies for statistical/data analyses, including the extrapolation of data metrics, as well as assist in the development/production of educational materials for dissemination and distribution, clinical protocol management, and other grant-related work as outlined per the research aims/objectives and study protocols.
Qualifications:

High School diploma/GED plus two (2) years of performing research experiments in a laboratory required.


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Attends laboratory and clinical research meetings three times with the team of investigators.

  • Assists junior researchers and trainees with data retrieval, and data organization, and conducts literature searches.

  • Assists with gathering survey data and feedback via phone or in person. Other tasks might involve helping to coordinate and prepare research posters for conferences and assisting with laboratory or research-related supplies and equipment as needed.

  • Responsible for data management including overall data entry, database review, and data integrity.

  • Assists with coordinating and compiling reports for statistical/data analyses, including the extrapolation of data metrics.

  • Assists in the development of educational and project-specific materials for production, dissemination, and distribution to the research community and other stakeholders.

  • Assists in clinical protocol management and other grant-related work as outlined in the research aims/objectives and study protocols.

  • Works closely with the Reynolds Institute on Aging (RIOA) research team, including the Study PI/ Program Director and the Clinical Research Director, on all protocol participant matters to facilitate in advancement of our Aging Research Program.

  • Assists in the coordination and preparation of abstracts, manuscripts, grant submissions, and the presentation of information dissemination.

  • Assists in the development of the RIOA clinical research program and further expands our educational efforts and collaborations statewide.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
