Summary of Job Duties: Under the direct supervision of the Department Business Administrator, the Pharmacy Technician I – PRN Extra Help (OPC Pharmacy) will assist and support the pharmacist in the day-to-day dispensing operation of patient care. The dispensing operation includes gathering the appropriate medication, operating the automated counting machine, working the filling queue within the dispensing software, compounding medications, operating the point-of-sale system, and other duties related to dispensing medication to the patient. Duties will also include general phone or face-to-face customer service, maintaining appropriate and adequate stock in all pharmacy areas, receiving and shipping. The Pharmacy Technician I will prioritize work based on immediate need and rapidly changing workload.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED PLUS Arkansas Pharmacy Technician License
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year pharmacy technician experience relevant to hiring area (i.e. retail, hospital, etc.)
One (1) year work experience

Assists pharmacists with patient outreach and answers phones regularly
