Summary: The Business Operations Communication Specialist is responsible for developing, managing and executing the internal communication strategy within the Retail Division. The role will ensure all retail members are informed, aligned, and motivated by delivering clear, consistent and action-oriented communications. The role requires close collaboration with retail leaders, line of business partners, product, lending, operations and shared services to ensure alignment and transparency of key changes affecting front-line team members and member engagement.   Profile:

  • Collaborates with retail leaders, sales, marketing, product, lending, small business, Travis Financial Services and shared service teams to ensure consistent messaging, distribution, visibility and alignment across the retail division.
  • Develops a new communication strategy to improve front line team member engagement, productivity and improved collaboration between front line and back end partners.
  • Provides continuous improvement of our communication capabilities and develops/maintains an editorial calendar with clear expectations on timing, planning, organization and partner roles/responsibilities.
  • Creates, manages, and distributes a Retail Weekly Game Plan to provide front line team members with updates on the latest initiatives, product and lending promotions, operational process/policy enhancements, upcoming training, sales/service tips, tools, campaign results, compliance/audit changes, and best practices.
  • Collaborates with other Sales Enablement team members to reinforce key readiness content, sales tips, tools, resources, process enhancements and sales training.
  • Supports standardization initiatives by working with projects leaders to reinforce process improvements across sales, operations and the member service experience.
  • Aligns Retail Communications content to TCU's mission, vision, branding and strategic goals.
  • Integrates Knowledge is Power messaging and brings Plan, Save, Spend, Borrow pillars to life when communicating new initiatives, promotions, standardization process improvements and retail branch sales process.
  • Supports Retail Team with large-scale events and presentations to support messaging alignment.
  • Improves transparency between branch and contact center processes and procedures.
  • Collaborates with assigned leadership and key departments to build strong relationships that support communication goals that drive the retail division's organizational objectives.
  • Partners with branch network and contact center leadership to foster culture of transparency by ensuring key information is communicated across all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational, planning and prioritization abilities. Able to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to see the “big picture” and connect the dots between internal departments, shared services and front line team members.

  • Exceptional follow up skills and professionalism.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with experience in developing content for various channels including emails, intranets, and presentations.
  • Solid understanding of financial products and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong influence management and project management skills, including the ability to develop and maintain content calendars, timelines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent presentation and proofreading skills with an extraordinary attention to detail, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all communications.
  • Familiarity with change management principles and practices, with the ability to translate these into effective communication strategies.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt communication strategies to meet various team member audiences and changing organizational needs.
  • Proficient in data analysis to track communication impact.
Requirements and Reporting  
  • Senior Business Operations Communication Specialist
    • Reports directly to assigned VP, Sales Enablement.
    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Education or related field, and a minimum of 5 years previous professional experience; or Master's degree and 3 years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
    • Advanced in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
    • Strong Project Management skills or equivalent work.
  • Business Operations Communication Lead 
    • Reports directly to assigned VP, Sales Enablement.
    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Education or related field and a minimum of 8 years previous professional experience; or Master's degree and 5 years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
    • Minimum of 1 year of leading/mentoring junior team members.
    • Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Advanced in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
    • Advanced Project Management skills or equivalent work.
Compensation:  Salary range is commensurate with experience.
  • Senior Business Operations Communications Analyst 
    Grade 17 Exempt - $95,365.92-$117,811.20

  • Business Operations Communications Analyst
    Grade 19 Exempt - $113,258.08 – $139,900.80.
