The Graphic Designer joins Transwestern's national business development and in-house branding and marketing teams. The group is made up of writers, strategists, and designers — working on national pitches, proposals, company branding initiatives, and client branding and marketing projects. The Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation of high-end digital and print collateral, with a heavy emphasis on layout design, brand development, and interactive design. The candidate joins a highly creative, motivated, and collaborative team that leads business development, marketing, and client-focused solutions for the entire company. This role will report to the National Director of Business Development and will be supervised day-to-day by the Art Director.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Knowledge of both print and digital processes; experience in executing on high-quality deliverables for business development and branding/marketing clients

  • Provide graphic support on creative projects

  • Conceptualize, plan, design, and produce a wide range of graphic and/or illustrative materials such as: pitch decks and proposals; printed new business materials (magazines, unique print pieces, or branded gifts)

  • Lead design efforts for pitch decks, RFPs, and other designed business development materials

  • Visual direction for company-wide templates

  • Brand development and brand standards guides (logo design, web design, hard goods, spatial design, etc.); marketing campaigns (eblasts, brochures, social media, etc.); event collateral; newsletter templates

  • Maintain relationships with all production vendors

  • Other design responsibilities as assigned by national new business development and in-house agency team.

  • Collaboration with team, work closely with strategy and copy to articulate messaging

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communication, Marketing, or a related discipline.

  • A minimum of 3–5 years' post-college professional design and graphics experience

  • Prior experience in production and knowledge of print processes.

  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.

  • Motion graphics, web design (HTML, Wix, Squarespace) experience a plus.

  • MS Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) experience required.

  • Client communication and project management experience is a plus.

  • Strong conceptual ability; extremely creative with the ability to depersonalize own efforts in order to incorporate input from others to affect project completion and organization buy-in.

  • Ability to change course/direction on projects at a moment's notice; ability to reprioritize tasks and timelines.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines; ability to work independently and to prioritize responsibilities; multi-tasking.

  • Creative flair with top-rate conceptual and visual skills; ability to take concepts and ideas and transform them into images.

  • Detail-oriented.

  • Superior communication and organizational skills.

  • Enthusiastic about becoming an expert on how to uniquely communication the company's vision through visual communication.
