The RN in the History and Physical Clinic plays a key role in the patient care team by conducting health assessments, gathering patient medical history and preparing patients for their upcoming procedure. Join the Thompson team today!
Full time, days
Main Function:
- Rooming patients for the provider
- Perform nursing assessment of patient medical history and collect and input the data in the medical chart
- Review medications with the patient
- Perform EKG, lab draws as needed
- Print and review the patient after visit summary and provide patient education
- Work closely with the clinic provider to maintain the efficiency of the clinic schedule
- Cross train and cover in the pre-admission testing center
- Perform pre-procedure phone calls to patients as needed
Qualifications:
- NYS licensed registered nurse required
- Current BLS required
- CAPA preferred
Education:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- BSN preferred
Experience:
- Required one year of medical/surgical experience and experience in a perioperative setting
Position Pay Range: $37.00-50.00/hour
Starting Pay: Based on experience
