Part time position, Days/Evenings with weekend and holiday requirements

May be required to work at all Urgent Care locations: Canandaigua, Farmington and Newark

Main Function:

• Primary responsibilities are to plan and give care as the staff nurse at Urgent Care (could be any of the three Urgent Care locations).  May also be required to fill in as LPN for Occupational Medicine clinic as needed
• Administer medications and immunizations
• Prepare patient for evaluations and procedures
• Assist Provider with physical exams
• Patients range in age from neonate throughout the life span. Must be able to provide age appropriate care. 

Required Job Specific Competencies:

• Thompson Education Digest, CPR, AED, CLIA waived testing [quality controls, glucose, occult blood, urinalysis, pregnancy test], breath alcohol testing, audiogram and spirometry calibration and test administration, ECG, PPD administration, DOT and non-DOT urine drug collection
• Must successfully complete all components of the preceptor packet within the probationary period

Qualifications: (Licenses, Certifications)

• Licensed Practical Nurse with Medication administration
• Current active status as a New York State Licensed Practical Nurse
• Current BLS

Education:      

• High school graduate
• Graduate of a school of licensed practical professional nursing 

Experience:

• Three years of recent nursing experience required
• Emergency medicine or ambulatory nursing experience preferred

Position Pay Range: $21.75-30.00/hour - Based on experience
