Responsibilities:
- Assist residents in performing activities of daily living.
- his requires assisting with maintaining and/or improving the resident's quality of life to the highest functional level.
- Participate in the daily care of residents such as checking schedules for resident appointments completing personal inventory upon admission, reporting care given and observations.
- Provide personal care to residents such as bathing, dressing, passes nourishment, collecting specimens of urine, stool, and sputum, performing post-mortem care.
- Assist with skincare and repositioning such as reporting skin breakdown, applying lotion, turning residents side to side, using mechanical lifts, toileting residents.
- Maintain an orderly and clean environment.
- Use safe procedures to prevent injuries to residents, self, and others.
- Complete required documentation such as intake/output forms, vitals and weight.
- Interact with residents, families, and other staff.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid NYS CNA Certification
- The willingness to provide excellent age-appropriate care to residents
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle unpleasant sights and odors.
- Must be team-oriented
Pay Range: $18.71 - $25.00
Starting Pay: Based on Experience
